The People's House will open to the public on Monday, September 23, 2024. Pass reservations will be available starting in August 2024.

The People's House: A White House Experience is a cutting-edge education experience that tells the story of the Executive Mansion, its inhabitants and the people who have dedicated their careers to its functions. Through innovative exhibits, objects, and interactive media, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the White House's role in American history. 

This space is operated by the White House Historical Association, a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1961 by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy with a mission to protect, preserve, and provide public access to the rich history of America’s Executive Mansion.

Our exhibits are designed to encourage exploration. Guided tours are only available for groups that are using our third floor classroom spaces for educational programming.

We welcome school groups, educational tours, and large parties. Any groups larger than 9 people must request group passes. Visit our Group Visits page to learn more about our offerings and to fill out a request form.
